Polio awareness drive - 27/02/2022

 Polio, or poliomyelitis, is a paralyzing and potentially deadly infectious disease that most commonly affects children under the age of 5. The virus spreads from person to person, typically through contaminated water. It can then attack the nervous system. To provide awareness about the diseases and the importance of polio vaccine, Rotaract Club of United College of Nursing members actively participated in the Polio awareness drive in and around the rural area of Periyanaickenpalayam.

WORLD CANCER DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME

The United College of Nursing organized a WORLD CANCER DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME on 05-02-2022 At the seminar hall, in UIT campus from 11.00am to 12.00pm. United College of Nursing Principal (I/C) professor Dr. D.Ruby Anitha was the speaker of the day. Who gave a detailed awareness about gynecological cancer to the female students from United Educational institutions. In Total,159 students actively participated in this event.  During the session students visualized basic understanding of cancer and its adverse effects in day to day life. Mega Vaccination Camp - 12th September 2021                      During First Mega Vaccination Camp Prof Dr.D. Ruby Anitha deputed as a Nodal Officer at Niligiris District by The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council. She coordinated with all the Block medical officers and Deputy Director of Health Services.

Third Vaccination Camp

Third Mega Vaccination Camp - 26th September 2021                     As per the instructions given by the Government.  50 Students from United College of Medical Sciences and United College of Nursing. Activity participated in 3rd Mega Vaccination camp Conducted in and around Periyanaickenpalayam.

Free Diabetic Camp - 2021

Free Diabetic Screening Camp - 29th September 2021          Rotary Coimbatore Elite club and United College of  Nursing collaboratively organized a Free Diabetic screening Camp on 29th September 2021 at 9.00 am to 1.00 pm in Naickenpalayam, Coimbatore. The camp was supervised and guided by the Vice Principal Prof .Dr. Ruby Anitha and supervised by the camp coordinator Mrs. Nandhini, and Mr.Shakthi. 12 students of United College of Medical Science and United college of Nursing took part in the camp. The students activities done for people participated in the camp  includes height, weight measurement, blood sugar level &  blood pressure level check up.

World Heart Day - 2021

World Heart Day - 29th September 2021 (Basic Life Support Training Program)                On the part of World Heart day Celebration, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation demonstration session given by United College of Nursing faculty to our little start of United Public School Students.  And to our Arts and Science department students . 

SECOND MEGA VACCINATION CAMP

Vaccination is an important tool to help stop the Pandemic as per the guidance from our Honorable Chief Minister MK.Stalin Organized mega vaccination camp throughout various places in Tamil Nadu. We proudly announced that our students have participated in second mega COVID-19 vaccination drive.  That was held in Coimbatore district on 19-09-2021.
