Pongal, is the festival of harvest was celebrated in a grand manner United College of Educational Institutions on 13.01.2024 at 08.00 AM inside the college premises. All the students and the faculty members came up with traditional out fits.

             As one of the traditional festivals of our Tamil culture, Pongal has got the significance of being celebrated by all Tamilians as Tamilar Thirunal and devoted to the worship of “Sun, Goddess Earth, Cattle and Farmers”. As a part of the Pongal celebrations, our students created a model temple on the campus. Student-teams of all departments of the College took active participation in the ‘Pongal Preparation’ and the ‘Rangoli’ contests. They conducted Rangoli competition. Prizes were distributed for first and best Pongal. In order to glorify the rich culture of the Tamilians, the following traditional games like Uri Aditthal, valli Kummi, Musical Chair and lucky comer were conducted for the students. Our students were actively participated in the traditional cultural programme. The celebration ended by at 2pm.
