PONGAL CELEBRATION-2026

Pongal celebration was joyfully celebrated at United College of Nursing with great enthusiasm and traditional spirit. The programme was organized to promote cultural values and to make students aware of the importance of Indian traditions and festivals.

The celebration began with a prayer, followed by a brief introduction about the significance of Pongal, a harvest festival that symbolizes gratitude to nature, farmers, and the Sun God. The campus was beautifully decorated with kolams, sugarcane, flowers, and traditional decorations, creating a festive atmosphere.

Students actively participated in various cultural activities such as traditional dance, folk songs, and skits, which highlighted the cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu. The preparation of Sakkarai Pongal was one of the main attractions of the event, symbolizing prosperity and happiness. Faculty members and students joined together in the celebration, making it a memorable occasion.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of Pongal and refreshments to all. The Pongal celebration was a grand success and left a lasting impression on everyone present.
